Welcome Programmes for International Students
Every business school offers welcome programmes to familiarise international students with their new surroundings. As brief introductions to the academic and social aspects of the schools, these programmes help them settle into student life.
Several schools also provide a mentor/buddy system that pairs up new incoming international students with French students who assist them with practical matters in the first few weeks of the academic year.
Orientation and Induction Program
This programme is designed to provide information on the running of the school and to show the new students round the premises.
New students are also welcomed by the Student Union. Sports activities are presented on this occasion.
In the course of their studies, international students can enrol in the FLE (French as a Foreign Language) Program which is taught at different levels.
International students can contact the International department at any moment if they need assistance and advice on student life. In addition, a housing support group can help them find accommodation.
Student Organizations
In each business school, international students will be able to join numerous student clubs that organise social events on a regular basis throughout the year. They give international and French students the opportunity to socialize and get better acquainted with one another.
Sports Activities
Every business school has extensive sports facilities and an array of sports clubs students can join. If they cannot find a club to their liking at school, there are also a lot of public and private clubs they can join.
Services provided
International students have access to services available to all enrolled students:
- Cafeteria: to have a quick meal at a moderate price, or just a cup of coffee and meet other students – it is a focal point of social life.
- Library: offering free access to consult documents, study or borrow books.
- Computer labs: thanks to their very flexible hours, students can log on to the Internet or work on computers outside class time or between classes.
Social life
All the above activities and services are designed to help international students boost their social life and achieve their smooth integration into the life of the school.
Encouraging teamwork to complete projects is also a way of getting students together to help them communicate and become integrated.
