How to prepare your arrival in Pau
Supporting students is really a part of ESC Pau DNA…
We believe that an exceptional support system is crucial as far as student satisfaction and student personal and professional project development is concerned. Each one of our students is taken care of individually as soon as their enrollment is confirmed. We help them with organizing their safe arrival in Pau. Our aim: to ease as much as possible their new life in France and their integration.
Your integration at ESC Pau is mainly managed by one dedicated person, Servanne Nivard, who will ensure that you arrive in Pau hassle free. “As soon as your enrollment is confirmed, I get in touch with you and become your main point of contact”, says Servanne. “I send you first two practical guides. The first one “Living in Pau”, presents briefly the different means of transport to arrive in Pau (plane, train,…), how to travel easily around the city (bus, bike,..), the minimum monthly budget to plan (rent, insurance, food, telephone,…), the tuition fees and all the administrative paperwork you will have to deal with at school. The second guide provides you with very practical information on how to get an accommodation: type of accommodation available on the market, the different documents required by owners, how much you have to pay, what is a guarantor, a deposit,…”. Since we know that it is not easy when living abroad to complete fully a rental transaction, Servanne helps you all along the admin and transaction process. She puts you in contact with partner real estate agents, grants you access to Studappart, ESC Pau Housing online platform, which lists a selection of real estate ads. We have also negotiated a partnership with CIC bank. “The CIC bank offers you a full package including opening your bank account, providing you with a debit card, subscribing to a phone contract, providing you with a housing insurance, … The package covers everything you may need”, says Servanne.
Welcoming you when you arrive in Pau
Obviously, we will come and welcome you personally when you arrive in Pau. One member of the Passworld team will come and pick you at the airport or train station and will drive you to your accommodation. They will check that you are well settled down and will help you to deal with the last final details if necessary.
How to get you ready for your new study and life environment

The following week, the Passworld team will be available every morning at school to resolve individually the last practical problems you may still encounter while settling down in Pau. It’s the moment for you to get used to your new campus and city. The Masters programme officially starts on 2nd October.
Last but not least: Chinese students get a more tailor-made support to ensure that their integration is fully successful.
